MANDITOURS TERMS & CONDITIONS
The tour participant(s) acknowledge receiving, reading and agreeing to the terms and conditions set forth below, they set out a contract between you and Mandi Tours, hereinafter referred to as Manditours. Please read all the information as they set out the conditions covering your travel arrangements. Also please note that living standards and practices, as well as standards and conditions with respect to the provision of utilities, sanitary services and the grading of accommodation that differ with Canadian standards, may be encountered during your travel.
RESERVATIONS: All space is on a first-come, first-served basis. We suggest you reserve as far in advance as possible, since many of the popular dates and destinations sell out early. Manditours reserves the right to cancel any reservation if deposit or final payment are not received when due. In addition, there will be a late-booking fee of $25.00 charged if the departure falls within 30 days of booking.
DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS: An initial deposit of $350.00 per person is required at time of booking. Additional deposits may be required by certain suppliers. For customized itineraries and Villa and apartment rentals the required deposit is the equivalent to 30% of the gross value of the booking. Most Airlines require “Non refundable” deposits of approx. $350.00 per person or full payment, to guarantee the airfare and reservations at time of booking. You will be advised at time of booking of any additional deposits, if applicable. For Cruise including packages a deposit of CAD$950.00 per person will be required at time of booking.
FINAL PAYMENT: Is due 45 days before departure, unless otherwise noted. If not received on time, it is subject to additional charges for Express mail, Federal express, or any other additional fees incurred as a result of late payment, even if applied to a late booking.
RESERVATION CHANGES: Due to expenses incurred in making changes, a $25.00 fee will be assessed for each change made up to 30 days before departure. Additional incurred expenses will be charged on each change made less than 30 days before departure. This includes changes made to passenger name, hotel, resort, departure date, air or ground transportation. Also, any changes to air portion may be subject to additional charges.
TOUR PRICES: Packages are guaranteed against any fluctuations in the rate of exchange if fully paid by February 28, 2015. After this period Manditours reserves the right to adjust prices accordingly. Manditours reserves the right to pass on any increase received from hotels, Government, or other suppliers of services that are part of the tour package. In the event the increase is in excess of 7% (other than Government taxes) you are entitled to cancel the travel arrangement(s) and receive full refund. Every effort will be made to advise you or your travel agent of any price increase at least 15 days prior to departure.
HOTELS: Hotels are classified by the operator using Government rating and industry standards where available. Manditours reserves the right to make substitutions with hotels of similar or higher ratings. In such cases, however, amenities may not be the same. Single rooms, though assuring privacy, are generally smaller, while triple rooms usually consist of two beds plus a roll-away for the third person.
MEALS: Buffet or continental breakfast daily at your hotel is included, unless otherwise specified. New Years Eve dinner is not included unless otherwise specified and, if supplements are applicable, they will be charged directly by the hotels.
TRANSFERS: Round-trip bus or rail transfers from European gateway to your selected hotel are not included, unless otherwise specified. Passengers not arriving on designated flights, and those passengers whose arrivals do not coincide with Manditours arranged transfers, because of airline delays, mis-connections or flight cancellations, must arrange transfers to their hotel at their own expense.
AIRFARES: All transatlantic and domestic airfares quoted are based on special arrangements. They are subject to changes and Government approval. Airfares are not guaranteed until paid in full and tickets are issued. If airline or airfare changes occur, the most conveniently scheduled airline will be selected at the most economical airfare available. Please check with the airline involved, Manditours, or your travel agent for details on schedules, restrictions, penalties and/or cancellation fees that may apply to a specific carrier. Manditours reserves the right to pass on any fuel surcharges imposed by its carriers, without prior notice . Fares are subject to change at any time.
EXTENDED STAY: You may extend your stay at destination, in accordance with the terms of the airfare used, provided that you make proper arrangements at time of booking. You extend the trip at your expense (extra days at the hotel, transfers to airport, etc.).
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Most scheduled airlines allow 1 piece of checked baggage not to exceed 21kg. A carry on bag not exceeding 43” may be stowed under your seat. Extra baggage charges vary by airline. Check with the applicable carrier for their baggage allowance policy and excess baggage charges. Manditours is not responsible for any security measures imposed by the airlines or Canadian and foreign governments causing the passenger(s) and/or his/her luggage to be re-routed, delayed, or denied boarding.
Terms and Conditions
CANCELLATION POLICY: The consumer must notify the travel agent of his/her intention to cancel the travel service. Accordingly, the travel agent must promptly inform Manditours of the cancellation. In the event of cancellation by one or more consumers sharing accommodation with other consumers, the rate charged to the remaining travelling passenger(s) will increase accordingly. In the event of cancellation, when applicable, all documentation must be returned to our ticketing department before a refund can be processed. The following cancellation charges will apply:
Up to 45 days before departure………. deposit amount
44-22 days before departure……… 50% of pkg. cost
21 days or less before departure….. 100% of pkg. cost
VILLAS AND APARTMENTS CANCELLATION POLICIES: For any alteration to a booking, a fee of US$100.00 will be charged. For cancellations or substitutions up to 75 days prior to start of rental period the penalty will be US$350.00 per Villa rental or 30% of total rental, whichever is the greater. For cancellations/substitutions within 74 days of start of rental period the following charges will apply:
74-43 days before rental……… 70% of cost
42-31 days before rental………. 90% of cost
30 – 0 days before departure…….. 100% of cost
In addition to land arrangement cancellations, airfares are also subject to cancellation fees. Consult your travel agent or Manditours for applicable penalties and/or restrictions. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR UNUSED PORTIONS OF YOUR PACKAGE.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Canadian citizens require a valid passport for travel to Italy. Non Canadian citizens should consult their travel agent, the Italian Consulate and Canadian Authorities for the required documentation to enter Italy and return to Canada. Manditours or its agents and/or subsidiaries are not responsible for damages, additional costs, penalties, cancellation charges incurred by the passenger(s) due to lack of proper documentation to enter Italy and/or to return to Canada.
INSURANCE: Health, accident, luggage and trip interruption/cancellation insurance are not included and strongly recommended. Please consult your travel agent or insurance company for the adequate coverage.
NOT INCLUDED: Air transportation, Governments and Airlines fees and taxes, airport taxes, passport and visa fees, medical and cancellation insurance, tips to motor coach drivers, porterage, phone calls, laundry service and items of a personal nature, meals, or other services not specifically shown as included in package features.
AIRLINE RESPONSIBILITY: The carriers concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or other event during the time passengers are not on board their conveyances. The airline passenger tickets, when issued, shall be the sole contract between airline and buyer/passenger of these tickets.
RESPONSIBILITY: All bookings are accepted on the specific condition that Manditours and /or associated companies, agents or sub-agents act only as booking agents for the passenger in regard to travel by rail, motor coach, rental car, private car, aircraft, boat or any other conveyance, and assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or for any reason whatsoever, or through the acts of default of any company or person engaged in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. Neither Manditours nor its subsidiaries, etc., here or abroad, shall become liable for loss or consequences due to delay, schedule changes or any cause or irregularity occasioned by cancellation, overbooking, or strikes of airline(s), train(s), hotel(s), car rental company (ies), ground service operators, in addition to “force majeure”, acts of God, etc. Under these circumstances, no portion of land arrangement will be refunded. Nor shall Manditours or the airlines concerned be liable for the late arrival of passengers at airports or at hotels, nor are they liable for the refunds of unused hotel accommodations or meals occasioned by such late arrivals.
